Whether you're a 'Niners fan or a Ravens fan, one of the highlights from last year's Super Bowl was undoubtedly a commercial from one of our favorite automakers here at Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Grants Pass. It was from Ram, it was called "Farmer," and in an evening that was filled with some of the strangest ads we've seen in ages, it was a refreshing reminder of what makes us great.

More importantly, it ended up being another great way for Ram to give back to a worthy cause.

As part of their "Year of the Farmer" campaign, Ram promised to donate $1 million to the Future Farmers of America (FFA) once their "Farmer" spot reached 10-million views on YouTube. Less than a week later, their goal was reached. True to their word, Ram recently delivered the promised amount to the FFA at the 2013 National FFA Convention & Expo in Louisville, KY.

And as the momentum for "Farmer" continues to grow, so does the collective conscious around the people who make this nation what it is.

"To date, 'Farmer' has been viewed online more than 22 million times, underscoring America's interest in and support for the important role farmers play in our country," says Reid Bigland, President and CEO of the Ram Truck Brand. "It is a pleasure to present the check to FFA and to be among thousands of dedicated FFA members who convey the spirit of what we at Ram Trucks value most of all - courage, dignity, integrity and example-setting through hard work."1

Needless to say, the pride has been a-flowin' over at our dealership these days. And if you'd like to do as the farmers do, feel free to experience the 2014 Ram 1500 today here in Grants Pass, OR. Because if anyone out there knows a quality pickup when they drive one, you know it's a farmer.
